It has been heartwarming to see all the volunteers in full flight, making a real difference to the lives of others, in particular the Fresh Food Program team on Thursdays who display a variety of fresh food from Second Bite and distribute to an average of 35 people per week.

The Boomerang Bag team have made and distributed 450 bags and will be working hard over January to keep our suppliers- Torello Farm Gate and the Dromana Bendigo Bank in supply, they are also supplying bags for the children who attend the centre. We need more hlep on Mondays in 2019 to make a difference and continue to reduce the single use of plastic bags.

Thanks also to our fantastic tutors and leaders for going the extra in delivering great programs that are enjoyed by all and will continue in 2019. Classes will resume in February, the house will reopen the week before so please pop in and enrol early. We are entering all the email addresses in our new data base currently so you should receive the 2019 via email, or pop into the house and pick up in a couple of weeks. ( we need volunteers to distribute, if you can help out please let us know!)

Our Take a Break childcare team and playgroup leader have worked with closely families this year and we can pass their best wishes to those children moving on to pre-school. We will be under a new system next year and will be working hard over January implementing those procedures and marketing the new look Occasional childcare! Thanks to Kate for preparing the fruit platter ( she is being identified by toddler around the town as the fruit lady)and Bakers Delight for providing the scrumptious bun for the playgroup on Fridays.

We will have a fundraiser coming up this week- order your Mince tarts at reception and $2 will go towards the house which we will put to good use.

We also need volunteers for the Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings on Monday 17th December, so those early birds who have done their Christmas shopping may be able to spare two hours! A gentle reminder re OHS - onions on the bread then the sausage on top! ( Not sure they taste the same!)

Thank you to our hard working team of staff and committee also, have a great break and rest up for an exciting 2019

It has been a pleasure to work with you all and enjoy your company at the House

Seasons greeting
