Minister visits

Tom Mc INTOSH – Member for Eastern Victorian Region for Labor in the Victorian Legislative Council.

Tom Mc Intosh paid us a visit and was greeted by the Tuesday walkers at the gate.

Tom was very interested in our Early Learning Centre - Little Gum and Three year old kindergarten' potential in our space. So much so, that we found him playing in the sandpit and later in the pirate house. The Committee and a parent enjoyed chatting with Tom.

Tom loved hearing all that we do at the House and was is so impressed he made a $500 donation to the House

You can follow Tom on his Facebook page

We found this lovely post from Tom about his visit and thought we would share it.

Dromana Community House - the little house with a big heart!

The house includes a Neighbourhood House, Little Gum Early Learning, and a food

rescue and share.

Tracey showed me around and told me how locals come down and get involved in

craft, gardening, cooking, singing, or just for a chat and to help out!

Dromana Community house provides essential support for the community especially

through providing food, but they also grow a sense of community by being a place to

come together.

The combination of hobbies and important life skills with wellness and connection is

the complete opposite of isolation and loneliness.

On top of this they also deliver an important service in early education to further

support local families and develop the next generation.

Tracey does a tremendous job keeping all of this running on the one site and the

work of the dedicated volunteers has an enormous impact locally, well done and

thankyou all! at the Dromana Community House
