The Dromana Community House aka "the little house with the big heart' held their AGM today.
One read of their Annual Report 2023 and you get a snapshot of a Neighbourhood House that delivers above and beyond for our local community.
All thanks goes to the dynamic, volunteer Committee of Management, dedicated volunteers and centre management staff who have worked tirelessly over 2022/23 to deliver in excess of $1.1M of value to our community distributing over 11,100kgs of food relief per month on a committed average of 82 volunteer hours per week and only 25 hours per week of co-ordination funding according to a recent Neighbourhood House Survey.
The Dromana Community House delivers on a range of programs and services such as the: early learning childcare/playground, Dromana food rescue and share Fresh Food program, grab and go meals, chatty cafe, intergenerational volunteering work with students enrolled in the Active Volunteering Certificate II, Boomerang Bags, Community Garden partnership, singing circles and a range of tutoring and community group activities.
Dromana Community House is provided with generous support and funding from many organisations and local business and these partnerships work to help out our community in need.
