About Us
Take Care, We Care
Dromana Community House brings people together to connect, learn and contribute locally in social, educational, recreational and support activities.
We welcome people from all walks of life. This inclusive approach creates opportunities for individuals and groups to enrich their lives through connections they might not otherwise make.
The community designs and creates a range of affordable activities and we offer opportunities to develop life skills and confidence, share skills and knowledge in many of the volunteer roles.
Early Education and Care known as Take a Break provides the foundation for children aged 18 months to five years of age to participate, five days per week. Children will develop both educationally and socially in a safe environment, while the service is supporting parents into work, volunteering, working at home or study. Childcare subsidies apply.
In 2022 we will be offering a Best Start, Best Life five- hour session of funded education and care for three-year-old children.
Sustainability and community education align at the Dromana Community House as we aim to reduce waste by saving food and materials from landfill, through our strong volunteer programs including Boomerang Bags and Second Bite- ending waste, ending hunger.
We connect with local partners for mutual support and service delivery to those vulnerable members of the community.
We strive to meet community needs in our beautiful beachside townships and adjacent hinterland and provide a warm welcome to each and every person who steps through our door at Fifteen Gibson Street.

The small house with a big heart!
